Hey there! I'm Isatou, and I come from the vibrant culture of The Gambia in West Africa, where hair is celebrated like art. Growing up, I was surrounded by intricate styles and beautiful looks, but not all of them were gentle on our hair. Like so many, I went through the rollercoaster of hair mishaps! From harsh chemicals to non-protective styles and heat treatments—I tried it all. And my poor hair? Well, it showed. Breakage, thinning, and stress became all too real.

Eventually, I had a lightbulb moment: if I wanted strong, happy hair, I’d have to be intentional about it. That meant a return to my roots—literally and culturally. I knew it was time to let go of my damaged, chemically relaxed hair. I’d been relaxing my hair for so long that I had no memory of my natural texture—no idea what it looked like, how it felt, or how it really wanted to be. So, I took the leap and did the “big chop.” And wow, what a revelation! For the first time, I saw my hair’s true beauty, with curls in all shapes and forms. I couldn't believe it—whose head was that?! My own natural curls, shining through for the very first time!

With this discovery, everything changed.   It wasn’t just about hair anymore; it was about embracing a part of me I’d never known. I dove deep into natural ingredients, studied every herb, every oil, and learned to treat each strand with the care it deserved. And the results? Transformative! Healthy, resilient hair that felt as amazing as it looked. 

As my journey continued, I knew I couldn’t keep this joy to myself. Sharing my story became a mission, and before long, I found a community of women who’d gone through similar struggles. We swapped tips, shared laughs (and plenty of "uh-oh" moments), and together we grew stronger—along with our hair! Years of research and firsthand experience led me to create high-performing hair products that nourish, protect, and celebrate natural hair in all its forms.
